Young Blood Chronicles
Directed & written by Ariana Montoya, I had the opportunity to write vocal arrangements and serve as music director for this jukebox musical inspired by Fallout Boy.
To the Life of Lisa Simmard
This show-within-a-show features brother and sister in their “in memoriam” performance for their late folk singer mother, Lisa Simmard. Reliving their past and reflecting on their complicated relationship with their mother, their relationship with each other grows while they process their grief through song.
Singing in the Living Room
I write a lot of songs, and they don’t always have musicals to be put in. That’s when I had the idea to put together a show with all of my songs that have yet to find their musical context (along with some songs from the musicals I’ve written). Singing in the Living Room is a celebration of the musical work I have done thus far and a glimpse into the future of musical theater.
Potato: The Musical
Yes, you read that right. I was bored one day while waiting on a long line, so I decided to write the most ridiculous plot to a musical that I could think of. What came to be was a synopsis to a comedic, and honestly ridiculous, musical about a man who is turned into a potato and then needs to find his way back to human form. After putting it aside for almost a year, I picked it back up during the pandemic and thought that it would be fun to actually develop. During the summer of 2021, I gathered some friends together and put on a staged reading with a lightly developed book.
Playwriting
Unproduced, just for fun :)
Fish
Fish is an unproduced play that I wrote during my first year playwriting course at NYU. It is a play that at first seems wild and goofy, but in actuality examines the relationship between two lovers and the complications that exist due to homophobia and parental issues.
